Tanto el Desarrollo Sostenible (DS) como la Responsabilidad Social (RS) se han convertido en dos puntos de referencia que favorecen la reflexión y el estudio, la investigación y la socialización respecto de la sobrevivencia en el planeta. Más allá de los debates dados por los aún jóvenes constructos conceptuales, se trata de una gran oportunidad en el mundo para encontrar un lenguaje común que favorezca nuevas formas de convivencia entre los humanos y con el medio ambiente. Por lo pronto hay que reconocer, aunque suene dramático, que los denominados Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) representan conclusiones desafiantes de un diagnóstico internacional. Y, por otro lado, las propuestas de estandarización que certifican la responsabilidad social de las organizaciones de los diversos sectores (ejemplo ISO-26000) significan el mínimo por ser y hacer para salvaguardar y promover la dignidad, deteriorada, de todo un planeta.
La Responsabilidad Social Universitaria (RSU) asume la importancia de pensar y observar el avance de los ODS, como parte de sus tareas estratégicas en el mundo actual. Se trata de una tendencia mundial dado que urgen profesionistas y líderes que aporten al progreso y al desarrollo humano de manera integral y cuidadosa. Actualmente, las universidades socialmente responsables procuran impulsar acciones que articulen sus propios programas educativos con las dinámicas mundiales que intentan mejores condiciones de vida para todos en su territorio y en el mundo. En este sentido, en el próximo Foro Internacional de RSU 2022, organizado por la UNIVA, se podrá escuchar el testimonio de intelectuales y líderes que han venido observando y estudiando los avances y dificultades relacionadas con la consecución de los objetivos de la Agenda 2030. Una agenda que integra los llamados ODS, y que procura mejorar las dinámicas del progreso, cuidando el medio ambiente y las relaciones entre los humanos.
