{"id":2558,"date":"2023-06-01T12:59:09","date_gmt":"2023-06-01T18:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.univa.mx\/agora\/?p=2558"},"modified":"2023-06-01T12:59:09","modified_gmt":"2023-06-01T18:59:09","slug":"importancia-del-neat-para-mejorar-la-composicion-corporal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.univa.mx\/agora\/importancia-del-neat-para-mejorar-la-composicion-corporal\/","title":{"rendered":"Importancia del NEAT para mejorar la composici\u00f3n corporal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Mayra Teresa C\u00e1rdenas Maldonado \u00b7 Pasante de la Licenciatura en Nutrici\u00f3n, UNIVA Guadalajara<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El NEAT o la termog\u00e9nesis no asociada al ejercicio, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s <em>non excercise activity thermogenesis<\/em>, es la cantidad de energ\u00eda que resulta de todas las acciones, m\u00e1s o menos rutinarias, que no se consideran ejercicio ni deporte, pero que requieren de un esfuerzo f\u00edsico. Se relaciona con la actividad espont\u00e1nea, la postura y los movimientos de la rutina diaria como caminar al trabajo, trabajar en el jard\u00edn, subir escaleras, ir de compras o tareas f\u00edsicas del hogar.<\/p>\n<p>El NEAT es un componente discreto del gasto energ\u00e9tico de nuestro cuerpo, pero que debe considerarse, ya que permite explicar el caso de personas que no aumentan su peso corporal a pesar de consumir m\u00e1s energ\u00eda que el promedio o que limita la p\u00e9rdida de peso en personas que buscan restringir las calor\u00edas ingeridas.<\/p>\n<p>En la actualidad, las exigencias de algunos trabajos y estilos de vida limitan la disponibilidad de tiempo para la actividad f\u00edsica planificada y reducen el NEAT, lo cual contribuye a conductas sedentarias que provocan mayor adiposidad. Se ha identificado espec\u00edficamente al tiempo sentado prolongado durante la jornada laboral como un factor de riesgo para la obesidad y las enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas, independientemente de otros factores de riesgo existentes.<\/p>\n<p>El NEAT es un componente cr\u00edtico en el mantenimiento de un peso corporal saludable y en prevenir el desarrollo de la obesidad y el sobrepeso.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando se busca mejorar la composici\u00f3n corporal, es decir, reducir la cantidad de masa grasa llev\u00e1ndola a par\u00e1metros sanos, el NEAT puede ser un factor que ayude a acelerar el proceso o que, al contrario, impida al sujeto lograr sus objetivos por el poco gasto energ\u00e9tico que tiene durante el d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Algunas formas de incrementar el NEAT diario pueden ser subir las escaleras y no utilizar el elevador, lograr caminar al menos diez mil pasos diariamente, limpiar el hogar, jugar con los hijos, trasladarse a sitios cercanos en bicicleta o caminando, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00adReferencias <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Alimentaci\u00f3n y balance energ\u00e9tico.
